Book Report...

So today I went to the library. I got there right when they opened, along with 30 wt people who were waiting to get in. I felt loser-ly. So I went in and got my big pile of intellectual books....... My pile looked like the one above - musty, thick, no pictures, etc. Right..... But what book have I constantly been made fun of today for reading? That's right, I busted out a little 5th grade reading level gem...

Correction, it's actually a 4th grade reading level. And I finished it in one day and it was really good, all right? Back off.

Dear movie:

Please make me stop seeing you. Like I can pay my car payment in used ticket stubs. You made me see you today? In the middle of the day? This needs to stop.

Love, Emily

My Little Lovies

Okay, confession time. Yes, we have 1 dog (our other dog Pal died. RIP Pal), 6 cats, numerous fish. But if you live at my house, you know who my favorite pets are...

I know, I thought I would have grown out of the chicken phase by now too. But I just love them too much! If I had a spot for them to come into the house at night to sleep, I would let them do it. Names: Ginger (light brown one), Cinnamon (other light brown one), Brownie (brown one in the back), and Seurat (black speckley one). They are my little lovies. I feed them leftovers out of the fridge all the time, give them old chips that I put water on so it would be soft, make them hot oatmeal when it is cold outside. We even trained them to bend down when you get close to them so you could pet them. Let's face it. If I had to choose between them and this varmint:

I would choose them every time. I love chickens!

Observations on a Tempe Thanksgiving

1. Del Taco is not open on Thanksgiving. But Jack in the Box is. Yes! After turkey snack! Yes we did!

2. When I asked Julia to get me a tiny bit of yam/sweet potato concoction, this is how much she gave me. Jerk. Me trying to hide it with my napkin.

3. The brothers-in-law playing Election 2008 aka Chutes and Ladders
You don't get how they are playing Election 2008? The players for the game:
p.s. McCain won. Yesssssss.

4. Annie's solution to me telling her she must wear shoes and socks to Grandma's for Thanksgiving. Yes, that is a mitten.

5. Sisters sharing a plastic spoon because we were too lazy to get up and get another one. Me pondering life.
6. Us being creeps. Yes we were the hit of Thanksgiving. Maybe because none of our relatives had seen us since June. Yes we all live within 15 miles of each other. We're naughty.
Hungry Fletcher.
Creep Amanda. Julia being "smudge". (The Office, people. Come on.)
Creep me and non-creep Laura
Creep Bubs and Picky.

The end.
