TMI

So we were moving a couch upstairs, and when tipping it on it's side, we discovered that our couch is an abominable pit. What we found:

Yes, those are the 2 library books I just paid $25 for. And Laura's keys that have been missing since JANUARY! Sick. And a computer cord? What the.

We also have become very sedentary since the bowels of hell have opened and barfed hot weather upon AZ. The term we call ourselves is "squashy." This may be due to the following activities:
Breakfast.
Eleven-sies.

Loving Friday morning $5 movies. Not loving Year One. Kill me.

"Exercise" aka

And other curricular activities include watching A LOT of this:
And eating bagels, referring to o.d.ing in Tijuana, loving Chrismukkah, listening to awesome music and saying the word "minty" a lot. Our summer rocks.

Update

So I think we, the Jones girls, have become the library's VIP customers. We go like every week and then lose books/have library fines...a lot. The homeless people there are our best friends. In conclusion we=book worms. Some of what we have been reading in the last week.

Amanda, Julia, and I read this one in like 2 days flat. It makes you realize your parents aren't crappy, the author's are.

I shared the Bridget Jones love with Julia. Now our conversations are peppered with words like "huzzah" and "v.g." and "squashy (more to come on squashy later)". She loved this book. Of course. It's in my top 10 of best books ever.

So sometime I try to be educational in my reading. Maybe my mind has been destroyed by the likes of Janet Evanovich and James Patterson, but... I didn't get it. I'm sure it was chock full of similes and metaphors, so whatev. But I'll give Steinbeck another shot.

I'm kind of on a frontier/ranch kick right now. This book rocked and wasn't very long. I recommend it.

People, people. If you love the show, please read the books. They are amazing. I love them. It helps tide you over until the fall when it comes back.
And finally, RIP to this show. The ending was kind of lame and thrown together but we'll forgive you because you had some awesome moments. I really wish you would have figured out the whole Ned/Chuck not being able to touch each other part. Rude.

My Vacation

So, I went up to the SLC to see these suckers:

Yeah, basically my trip consisted of eating. And eating some more. And buying cheap swim suits out of the Down East creep basement bins. Yeah, the swimsuits were 2 for $5. Needless to say, I bought 4.

The trip began by seeing my high school orchestra bff Kim. And we ate here and it was freaking scrumptious. Then we went to Costco and got ice cream. All the while having severe reminisce about high school moments. Yes, you were all talked about.
Yeah, I didn't remember Utah being this pretty either..

Then I hung out with these peeps for like 2 days. I met these boys my first day at BYU as a freshman. Tender I know. ]They are supposed to be showing their excitement for the movie in this picture. Whatev. We all have like violent varying opinions about movies, so it is our tradition to see the worst movie in the theater. Because it is the only one none of us have seen. Last time we hung out, we saw Bee Movie. This time we saw this..

Oh yes we did. Justin Long, please go back to the Mac commercials. You're too good for this.

Us before we had our brains destroyed from this movie craptacularness. Amanda, her husband Curtis, me, Justin.

Then I went bowling with my other peeps. Something you would never seen in Mesa: being alone at a bowling alley at night. It was creepy.
Sarah being the bomb. I know, what's with all my friends in Utah deciding to be all healthy and skinny and running marathons? Dumb. Yes, alone time at the creepy bowling alley on State.

Me, rockin' it.
Sarah's man, Pete, having to put up with both of us. And doing an excellent action shot.
The next morning, we went to this place. Aka carb heaven. Sarah, loving her dutch baby.

I know, a few short hours we were able to eat another full meal. Rebecca (Sarah's mom) and I loving Kneaders.
My flipflops with my flipflop cookie. Amazing.

Then we went shopping our life where we truly found thongs/g-strings for our feet.

We finished off my visit by going here to get spiritually fed, then going here to get saturated fat and white processed flour fed.

Minis cupcakes. We should all cry because there is not one in AZ.

Thanks to the Sykes for letting me stay at their house/eat their food/drive their cars/not have to get licked by their dogs. You're the best!

The end.
