Boring

Sorry we've been boring lately. But not much exciting has been happening. But we have been watching a lot of this. So when Amanda and I were younger, we had a babysitter that would make us watch this with her every time she babysat. And she babysat every Friday night. It was kind of the Pride & Prejudice of the 80's. In conclusion, we can quote the whole movie.

followed by some this:
Yeah. this weekend we didn't see much sunlight. And Laura bought the 3 disc version of this:
Basically, our plan is to stay horizontal on the couch as long as possible. And we've recently been eating these layer by layer:
And who isn't REJOICING that these people are leaving! Superstition Ranch Market is a treat to go to now.

My Obsessions

So, to copy Erica, here are some of my current obsessions. So, I had to go somewhere and wait awhile. I decided to take this book with me because I heard it was kind of hard to get into, not so good, and really long....

Oh silly Emily. You forgot about the power that Stephenie Meyer has. So instead of studying my brains out for my huge test on Thursday, I keep coming up with reasons to read this. Like "I'm doing the dishes, I'll just read it until I'm done" or "I'll take all the garbages out in the house and read it while I walk." It's a disease. And I still have like 500 pages to go.
Have you ever had these stale? It's like heaven covered in sugar in a little cardboard box. Or, if you want to make them stale fast, throw them in the microwave for like 10 seconds. I learned this tip thanks to a BYU education.

And lastly, my little lovely in the silver can. So, apparently I'm addicted because I didn't have one today and had a huge headache and was rather irritable. Sorry to all those who have to deal with a non-caffeinated Emily. Apparently it is addicting. Who knew? I blame this addiction on my workplace. Next door to it is the best Diet Coke around. Really. Try it. Bread Basket.

Next, this blog by this person

She is amazing and her playlist is to die for.

Lastly, my little precious-es that live in the backyard. Yes, I dead-head them every day.

I know! Double red and white petunias! They are dang precious.

So if you don't see Julia and I much this week, it's because looking like this by Saturday is our goal. Happy tanning!

15 Year Birthday party!

So at the Jones house, we have our own form of March Madness. We basically celebrated Annie's birthday all of the first half of March. We then celebrate Delia's birthday the second half of March starting yesterday. Annie had a family party the week before, and a party on her birthday day and a party with her friends this weekend. The menu she chose for her family party:
Noodles. Aka carb overload.

Chinese chicken salad? I know. She wanted it.

The participants:
Porters.
Devin and I.
Laura and Annie

Of course this is what Julia was doing. And yes, Diane and Reidster willingly sat at the "fun table" aka kid table.

This preciousness was here too.
Annie not knowing what to wish for. Duh, Troy Bolton.

Delia's saying it best. How we felt after our chocolate brownies with chocolate frosting and chocolate ice cream overload.

Yes, Annie is already counting down to her 16th birthday - when she can date and drive. Yes, she tells us EVERY SINGLE DAY.

My Saturday Night

So, these people and I went to go see Jimmy Eat World playing the whole Clarity cd amazingness on Saturday night. And it was amazing. However, everyone in this picture, except the random boy and the Lamanite (Julia) in the background, were way too distracted during said concert.

What were we distracted by???

By making fun of the air-clapping, air guitar-chord-making, convulsion-having, hand-butterfly making group that surrounded us. I compare it to how those religious revivals are on tv. But better live and way more emotional. It was awesome for us, but bordering on orgasmic for most of the people around us, mostly being boys. Yikes.

p.s. Amy, I don't know why you keep getting cut off when I post this picture. If you click on it, you can see everyone. ?

My Achievement

So, yesterday at work,I worked for 9 hours. And I achieved my greatest feat yet. I finished one of these bags of heaven during my shift:

Yes. From start to finish. There were many witnesses. And I didn't get a headache/want to throw up/go into a diabetic coma. Yes! Yes! My teeth, however, now look like this:
Melissa, beware!
p.s. I found this picture in my microbiology power points and it was so disgusting I had to incorporate it. Bad book to read while eating? Microbiology.

My Oscar

So I wish a little Oscar would pop out of my microbiology book and explain things like aerobic respiration and cell metabolism to me like he explains things to Michael...

Dear Martha

Dear Martha -

Okay, don't get me wrong. I love you. Your halloween magazine makes my halloween magical. This recipe did change my life. But yields 2 dozen cookies? Isn't that like a serving size? And after Annie and I (she stayed home sick from school) have eaten half the dough while watching Another Cinderella Story, there isn't much left to bake. And quadrupling the recipe hurts my brain. Fix this. Amen.

-Emily

p.s. Maybe we should feed our army of cats more?

p.p.s. Dad, we said we wanted the BIG bag of powdered sugar. Gosh.

My turn! My turn!

For the non-facebook crowd

Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.

1. I have a secret crush on Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs.
2. The best/most fun job I ever had was working as a phlebotomist at Bio-Medics in Provo, Utah.
3. I have never had any type of traffic ticket or been in any accident. (Knock on wood).
4. I have been as far away as Italy and Austria but I have never been to Mexico or Colorado.
5. I am so afraid of scorpions that I will never take my shoes off in my house. Get out of bed, put on shoes. Get out of shower, put on shoes, etc. Not kidding.
6. I spell really well and have little tolerance for people who cannot. Their/there, were/where, your/you're. Stop it.
7. The compass on the mirror in my car has saved me many times from driving in the wrong direction.
8. I have attended the Sundance Film Festival twice and never saw anyone famous. But I love going.
9. My most favorite movie is Just Friends. Teee jaaaaay!
10. I am afraid to pull through parking spots because I always think there is a cement thing secretly hiding there.
11. My mom passed away 1 1/2 years ago and I think that she wrote a letter to me before she died and hid it somewhere in the house. I am always looking for it.
12. I hate when people don't blow their nose and just snuff their snot.
13. Sometimes I want to ditch the whole nursing thing and become a flight attendant. I think it would be awesome.
14. I always think before I speak.
15. I hate being hot and sweaty. Hate it.
16. My itunes holds 24 days of music.
17. I feel like I am becoming technology illiterate.
18. I love to read! I am obsessed with the library and Barnes & Noble.
19. When I am walking somewhere and trying to hurry, I count my steps subconsciously.
20. I love going to the movies but hate 75% of the movies I see. But I keep going.
21. My best friends are my sisters.
22. I have been on the Beatles Magical Mystery Tour.
23. I love planting things and watching them grow. I kind of have some big shoes to fill.
24. I never lose things.
25. Hopefully I will be able to tag people after doing this.

My Weekend

So this weekend we went to the really pretty part of AZ aka Emery Cemetery. Just look at all that green!

I know! Who doesn't love Arizona? Annie was kind of ADD at the cemetery, so she discovered her skills in self-portraits.

No, we're not in mourning. We just all happen to like black. But you've got to love AZ clouds. I do.

Aren't pregnant people the cutest?

Then we had to eat at the best Mexican food place in the world. Seriously, how can chips and salsa get better? By loading the chips up with butter first! Divine!

The end

p.s. If anyone knows how to make our blogger put the actual picture on our post when we are writing it instead of doing this as;dlkjhqpwoituqwopitu(#%(*&%(*&w$%ASDAWEOI///...2q35298q234twafsglkwartoi

and then posting the actual picture, let us know!
