Egg-tastic!

So on Thursday, we decided to dye Easter eggs. And it was awesome. First, we had to put all the "pills" in the "potion" and let them fizz. Picky was obsessed. You can even get neon "pills" that make neon colors, thanks to ghetto Stapley Wal-Mart. English and spanish instructions included.

All our hot colors. Glass top tables rock in these situations. And when you are crafting and get glitter modge podge and diamond dust all over them. Then you just scrape it all off with a razor blade. Awesome.

Ten Years Ago: I was in my senior year of high school, already accepted to BYU and freaking out that I had to leave my mummykins for the first time.

Five places I have lived:
1. Mesa, AZ
2. Glendale, AZ
3. Provo, UT
4. In the Sykes' pool, SLC, UT
5. south Provo, UT

Five things on my to do list:
1. Freaking find a man so I can be a stay at home mom and hang out with my sisters all day every day
2. See a light at the end of the school tunnel
3. Go on a fabulous vacation this year
4. Pass all my classes this semester
5. Be awesome

I enjoy:
Going to the lake when it is super hot outside (but not early in the morning. I'm rather mean.), going to the movies, hanging out with my sissies, having bffs, going to dance parties with my posse, planting flowers and obsessively watching them grow and obsessively fertilizing them every week, getting tan, reading amazing books, working at Scrapbooks Etc.

Two bad habits:
1. Cussing. But the amount has gone down significantly.
2. Buying songs off i-tunes when I don't have the money to.

Five things you may not know about me:
1. I have to be to the airport two hours early. Otherwise I become obsessive and think that I am going to have to run through the airport and then I will be late and then I won't be able to go wherever I need to and I will be at the mercy of the airline.
2. I can not not not not not be late to anywhere. Except church.
3. The inside of my car must be psycho clean and have no clutter in it.
4. Basking in the sun is the only sport I play.
5. I read magazines backwards. And I read the last page of books first.

Five jobs I've had:
1. Phlebotomist - Bio-Medics. The best job ever. Working it with boys 40 hours a week. And getting paid to do so.
2. Scrapbooks Etc.
3. Paralegal at Phillips & Lyon
4. Legal Assistant at RBSA
5. Jones/Vista/Kosher Cleaners
5.5 American Eagle for like 2 weeks

Stupid

WHOEVER THE STUPID WANKERS ARE THAT ARE STEALING OUR HUGE EASTER EGGS, YOU ARE GOING DOWN (TO HELL).

Because who bought those eggs? Our mom. And where is she? With the man upstairs. And she is going to be ticked. We had 20 huge eggs and now we only have 5 and we had to take them back inside. And we are ticked because our mom bought them for us and we don't know where she got them from. So look out, hoodlums, because Reidster is on the rampage.

Poor little egg...all alone.


So as not to be a debbie downer post only, here is a picture of our hot Easter tree. And if they steal this shiz, I will be really ticked.

Loves

So my bff Sarah and her family are pretty much the most classy family I know in all of SLC and possibly the world. They taught me to eat crazy stuff (lamb, grilled eggplant, grilled tofu, feta) without batting an eye. We want to be them. We need to be them. Every year for Easter Sarah and I would go up to her family's house for Easter dinner and love life. We would have amazing lamb, salad, roasted red potatoes, asparagus and for desert, BUNNY JELLO ON A BED OF CARROTS. So, this year, Amanda and I have been trying to find said bunny molds. We have looked everywhere. Since Sarah's mom, Rebecca, is super classy, we assumed she got them at Williams & Sonoma or some other classy place. What do I get in the mail today????

Oh these little darlings. With a recipe for amazing lemon jello to put in the molds. In conclusion, Amanda hyperventilated while I told her about these on the phone and I hyperventilated while opening the package of hotness. We love you Rebecca!!!!!

Happy happy birthday, Daniel and Annie dear, happy days will come to you all year. If I had one wish, then it would be... a happy happy birthday to you from me.

Funny things about Daniel and Annie:
-Annie's new thing to say is "Friends off." Thank you Candace W for telling it to Emily who then told it to Annie.
-Other Annie quotes - "Ghetto bootie" (while spanking your bum), "I am not a drum" (if you spank her bum).
-The most hilarious thing to watch would be when Julia and Daniel would wrestle to see who was Emily's favorite. Julia and Emily shared a room when Julia was like a fetus and Emily gave Daniel life, so it was highly entertaining to watch them battle it out. And it made Emily feel awesome.
- Daniel yelling "Mine" over and over like those birds from the Nemo movie. Daniel making up hilarious nicknames for people i.e. Dagwood.

More update on the amazingness that will go on tonight.

p.s. I just found a scorpion in a scrapbook etc bag that was on my bedroom floor.
1. How could scrapbooking betray me like that? and
2. Next door cousies, that was the really loud screaming you probably heard at your house.

They exist..

So, one of my most favorite movies ever is Napoleon Dynamite. And pretty much anything you hear on that show is true. For example, they discuss ligers. And I learned in microbiology that ligers are real. Napoleon is a god.

Deb: What are you drawing?

Deb: What's a liger?
Napoleon Dynamite: It's pretty much my favorite animal. It's like a lion and a tiger mixed... bred for its skills in magic.

Book review

So this book was chosen for my ward's book club a couple of months ago. I can't go to my ward's book club, but I still read their choices. This book was a "chapter book" as Sarah S. calls them, but that doesn't mean it wasn't AMAZING. It was like 200 pages and I finished it yesterday morning. It was rather predictable - man has 7 daughters, 1 daughter dresses up like boy to support family, daughter meets prince while a boy, falls in love with him, you know the end. But it was still really good. After finishing it, I chucked it at Julia and told her to breathe in the spores and bask outside and read it. Which she did.

Movie Love/Hate

Dear Mr. Shyamalan:

I recently watched the preview for The Happening and it gave me the tinglies. This movie better not suck like a previous film we won't mention....

Mr. Shyamalan, while watching said unmentioned movie opening weekend in a sold out theater, there was inappropriate laughing and people walked out. The best part about seeing said film was the popcorn. Which wasn't even that good. Please refer to your prior movies of amazingness that satisfied me immensely. I will even forgive you for not using this actor in your new movie..

Red Hot

So, sorry for the lack of blog posts with pictures. Julia lost her/our camera and found it in her bathroom. That means a. her bathroom is really, really messy or b. her bathroom must be huge or c. both. The girl bathroom upstairs is HUGE and a bit on the messy side.
