So we went to Laura's graduation. And it was really sweaty. I may have forced Julia to tell me the most sweaty part of her body. Our supplies for going to it: Kendall, Laura, and Devin riding the light rail and loving life. Walking miles and miles and miles and miles and miles to Sun Devil stadium. AZ=classy. Alice Cooper opened up the graduation activities.
The suckers who had to sit in the sun.
Yeah, AZ is a little on the dusty side...
Yes, we got a little bored during it. Julia reading People. Way more interesting to hear about Kirstie Ally's weight gain.
We're famous. We saw the president on a jumbo tron.
I now give you the death looks of Julia and Annie:
So our little Julia Gulia is turning 17 today. 17? Where did the time go?? In honor of her, we will post the 17 things we love about Julia. And try not to copy last year's.
1. I know she is my sister for sure, but there are many "Jones" things that she hates. And she has to remind me all the time that she hates these things. Things Julia h8s that we LOVE: ketchup, cheetos, macaroni soup, the list goes on. Sometimes it hurts me that she hates the red beverage ketchup. Hurts.
2. Julia has way more friends than any of us did in high school. She is always texting boys (which we would NEVER talk to), going on dates, getting asked to dances. It's the high school experience we wish we had.
3. She kind of has it rough because she has 2834747 moms. But she is good about dealing with it.
4. She is really good with kids and rarely gets annoyed with her nieces. Even when she has to sit at the "fun" table.
5. She has WAY more style than any of us. She will totally wear things that I still can't do because I am afraid I would look stupid. But she does it and looks bomb.
6. She is always a good sport about everything and is getting quite professional about taking awesome pictures. 7. She loves awesome youtube videos:
and some more:
8. She loves to dress up for things. Like spirit days at school. Or hanging out with her friends on the weekends. Her favorite genre: 80's work-out.
9. Clearly she is way more spiritual than we are because she has 2 callings. Whoa.
10. She loves going to Girl's Camp/EFY. She would be an awesome EFY counselor.
11. She is really good at doing her hair/other people's and making it look awesome. I make her cut my bangs and love how she does it. And sometimes she has to use little kid giraffe scissors and it still works.
12. She has excellent customer service where she works. Even though people yell at her.
13. She has seen hardly any movies. Somehow whenever we watch them as a family/go to the movies, she is never around. She needs to sit down and watch like a million.
14. She is really hilarious. Maybe more hilarious than me. Example of her hilariousness via text:
Emily: So in church today, they encouraged us to hang out and visit our mom more. I guess I'm going to have to die so I can hang out with my mom. Julia: Cool. Can we carpool?
Pure genius.
15. She's one of those people that super procrastinates things and then makes it amazing. That is a true talent that I don't have. Emily+pressure=not good times. Just ask anyone on the Break the Fast committee.
16. She loves cats but keeps it secret.
17. She loves reading books. And I love getting her the best ones ever and making her read them. ex. Sophie Kinsella books, The Devil Wears Prada, educational stuff like that.
17.a Next year, her 18th birthday and graduation are on the same day. We may already be planning the hugest party every!!
Happy Birthday Julia!!! We love you!!!!

President Obama-
Please understand when I go to ASU's graduation wearing this Seeing as how you're making us wait in Sun Devil Stadium for several hours in the blistering hot AZ sun, you'll understand why I need to be scantily clad. And if there isn't one of these
somewhere in the stadium, I will be super ticked. No worries, we will give full documentation of our melting in the sun. Because we won't have anything else to do.
Sorry if I don't get a good grade on my final about this:
But I will get an A++ on the storyline of this. Watch it. After watching it, you'll say "Mr. Darcy who?" Watch it. I command you. It's even on youtube, how evil.
Two dances since and I'm just now posting this. wow I'm lame.
WINTER FORMAL!
Welp i asked Kolter Anderson. For our day activity our group:
It was super fun, we rode rhinos, shot guns, ate tasty food, and watched Dark Knight, it may or may not have been pirated. Then the dance was a week later. We took pictures at the dance, went to my friend Kenzie Hamberlin's to take pictures and eat catered olive garden, then we went back to the dance, and then watched nacho libre at mi casa.
Observation #1: So, when you pull out your old flowers to put in your new ones, do you ever feel like you are breaking up with them? That the old flowers gave you everything they had and you just took and took and then ripped them out and threw them on the sidewalk? Sometimes I feel like plants have feelings. Don't mock me. Observation #2: On Friday, I went to get my teeth cleaned by this person. And I realized that I'm not a freak and lots of people have "meat pockets" in between their teeth. And she gave me a tongue scraper. I am obsessed with it. How did I live life without it? The dentist might have told me "Wow, you really know your way around a dentist chair." It's because I have approximately 3 teeth that don't have fillings. And 2 of them are my front 2. I know, I'm w.t.
Observation #3: This is my new favorite show. Goodbye, Office, Gossip Girl, anything else. This is now #1. It's How I Met Your Mother. And yet I have found no one else wherewith to share these feelings and quotes. I would date Frankenstein if he loved this show as much as I do. I will even tell tivo to not record Gossip Girl and to record the reruns of this. It is amazing. Watch it. I command you. Chuck Bass vs. older Doogie Howser? Doogie Howser wins it every time.
Julia, you may have surpassed me as the funniest person in our family. I now relinquish the sash of "Most Hilarious" to you. You built a barricade between you and Reidster with salad dressing bottles. You=the bomb.
So, a tradition we started about a year ago was that all us sisters go to the YW and the Relief Society Broadcast at conference time together. Then we go and eat tasty dinner. So, we all went to the YW broadcast together and it was AMAZING!!! Sorry, RS, I like the young women broadcasts way better. It gives you bite sized goals that you can accomplish. So, we are all doing the new Virtue goals together. And let me tell you, those goals are kind of INTENSE! It's like AP young women's. But it will be the bomb. p.s. This may be the last picture we see of our sister Amanda alive... she went to Honduras for a week. Come back please! Next: Julia and Eden modeling at Easter dinner. We may need to lay off the ANTM watching.. Next: Easter dinner. It was awesome. Who doesn't love asparagi and jello in bunny molds? p.s. Rebecca- you are the bomb for sending the bunny molds! Easter dinner was dedicated to your awesomeness!
More Easter pics: Fletchers + Reidster + Annie Julia hating life at the "fun" table. The end.
Sorry we've been boring lately. But not much exciting has been happening. But we have been watching a lot of this. So when Amanda and I were younger, we had a babysitter that would make us watch this with her every time she babysat. And she babysat every Friday night. It was kind of the Pride & Prejudice of the 80's. In conclusion, we can quote the whole movie.
followed by some this: Yeah. this weekend we didn't see much sunlight. And Laura bought the 3 disc version of this: Basically, our plan is to stay horizontal on the couch as long as possible. And we've recently been eating these layer by layer: And who isn't REJOICING that these people are leaving! Superstition Ranch Market is a treat to go to now.
